Village News
The islands in Ocean Country have been celebrating the arrival of the next Umikage, Saizo. The long bridge leading to SHIPPUUGAKURE NO SATO has been closed for outsiders because they wish to celebrate this moment with Ocean Country natives only.
As usual, the Storm Country has been hosting the Asgard Games to welcome their Kanetsukage, Cornelia. It's a double special occasion because Cornelia is also the first female Kanetsukage. She has been picked for her courage, loyalty and outstanding power by the BOUFUUGAKURE NO SATO elders.
Not only that, but the Cherry Blossom Country has become relieved as well. It seems that everyone is slowly picking up after the war now. KUSAMURAGAKURE NO SATO proudly presented their new Sakurakage, Altair.
TSUKIGAKURE NO SATO is still thriving on the merchants coming in and out. They have not experienced anything special lately. Their wealth has remained the same as they were not forced to invest into shinobi unlike the others.
On the cold isles of the Blizzard Country, HYOUGAGAKURE NO SATO has still refused to create a free traveling policy. Some habits never change. To protect their traditions, they have even warned outsiders to not interfere with their matters.
Now that everyone is picking up again, who will come out on top?

Kaishi's Missions Empty

It had been some time since his return to the village. After her loss... no. He couldn't think about that now. He only just kept his demons at bay as it where, dwelling on the pass was only adding fuel to the flames. Flames of hatred, of rage, and of heartache. In recent years, Kaishi had made himself known as a rather capable ninja. Though modest might not particularly describe him, reserved often did. So he simply wasn't one to go around bragging about his own achievements, but he did feel accomplished having made Jounin some time back, and he'd worked up quite the legacy for himself. He smiled, "Yea that's it, think of the good times... not the bad." He said more to himself, than to anyone whom might be around.

Pit-Pat-Pit-Pat

Foot steps echoed through a long, deserted hallway. And droplets of rain fell from the large mans sugegasa; an umbrella shaped hat made of straw, traditionally worn by rice farmers. His steps where long and sharp. Precise. Mechanical. And he remained rather serious, and melancholic as he opened the thin doorway to the Kage's office. Slowly, as to make sure he was not intruding. When he'd stepped through the open door he quickly laid down a folder with paper work inside on the Kages desk. His words came just as sharp and mechanical as his footsteps had.

"Greetings Lord Kage." He said first, with only the slightest tip of his hand, one hand raised and tugged at the front of it as he did so. "I'm requesting permission to tackle this mission for you. It seems we have pirates on our borders, and I won't stand for it. If you would grant me leave?"

He spoke the last bit in a question, and gave the slightest pivot of his leading foot. Obviously, he was in a hurry to get this done, but none the less polite and formal.

(OOC:Very sorry for the wait.)
Saizo quickly sat up as soon as he heard the door creak open. He had been taking one of the several breaks he scattered between his work. The job was way too much paperwork. Nothing like a jounins job. They had so much more freedom then he did. They also went through a lot more excitement. In from the door only came another quick thing he needed to do. Not as bad as the paperwork but still tedious during rush hour. This guy seemed like a respectable man. He would allow him to go beat up some scum.

"Approved. Have fun."

Saizo wished he could go beat up some ugly sea pigs. Too bad it wasn't his call. Otherwise, he'd be out on the sea taking em out one after the other. He just wanted to mop them all up as soon as possible. Unfortunately, stuff like that toke too much time and money. Instead the jounin would have to do. He seemed more then capable of crunching the pirates.
